Also famous for the festival held on August 15th, it is a religious event marking the beginning of the agricultural season through various Andean-religious symbolisms, such as the\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\u201chuajjcha\u201d<\/span><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">, where\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">quispi\u00f1os<\/span><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">\u00a0(steamed quinoa and lime cakes) are thrown from the towers of the Asunci\u00f3n Church.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p>[\/csw_accordeon_item][csw_accordeon_item title=&#8221;MIRADOR DE CHUCUITO (CHUCUITO VIEWPOINT):&#8221;]<\/p>\r\n<p>An ancient ceremonial center of the Lupaca Aymara kingdom, it is currently where the farewell ceremonies of the Carnival festival take place. Built of mud, adobe, and clay tiles, it is ideal for enjoying beautiful panoramic views of the lake.<\/p>\r\n<p>[\/csw_accordeon_item][csw_accordeon_item title=&#8221;IGLESIA SANTO DOMINGO CHUCUITO (SANTO DOMINGO CHURCH):&#8221;]<\/p>\r\n<p>One of the oldest churches in the area (1539), located in Chucuito historically known as the &#8220;City of the Royal Treasury&#8221; it stands out for its carved wooden altar covered in gold leaf and its historic bronze bells. Every October, the festival in honor of the Virgin of the Rosary gathers worshippers who keep the Aymara-Christian cultural syncretism alive. To one side stands the Catechism Cross, used during colonial times to evangelize indigenous peoples.<\/p>\r\n<p>[\/csw_accordeon_item][csw_accordeon_item title=&#8221;PISCICULTURA DE CHUCUITO (OPCIONAL) (CHUCUITO TROUT FARM (OPTIONAL):&#8221;]<\/p>\r\n<p>A center dedicated to trout production and commercialization, where visitors can observe the complete development process of the trout.
