We will start this City Tour Cusco through the Plaza de Armas of Cusco, then visit the Basilica of the Cathedral, we will make a short walk through the main streets of the city where we can see walls and buildings of the Inka era that are still well preserved until reaching the Koricancha temple, this wonderful temple is considered sacred since it housed Inca priests in charge of worshiping the Sun God,
We will continue our guided tour through the archaeological centers located around the city of Cusco; Beginning with Sacsayhuaman, its Quechua name means "satisfied hawk" was built with huge blocks of stone. In the time of the Incas it was called the "sun house" and it was a religious center of great importance in the local tradition.
Then we will visit Qenqo Quechua word that means "Labyrinth" coined by the Spaniards for its labyrinthine underground galleries and small canals carved in zigzag. We will continue our tour visiting PucaPucara, called the red fortress, it is built with stones with that color tone and finally we will arrive at Tambomachay which was an Inca temple dedicated to worship the water.
Our City Tour Cusco ends when we leave them on Avenue EL SOL.
